Barnes Lake Cabin

Pan-abode cedar log cabin (12' x 12') with large covered porch on the western shore of Barnes lake, a saltwater lagoon. Surrounded by old-growth spruce and hemlock forest. Tidal flat in front of cabin at low tide. Good crabbing, fishing. Scenic boating through Gold and Galligan Lagoon to Sweetwater Lake. Migratory waterfowl, Sitka black-tailed deer, black bear. Excellent silver salmon fishing in Barnes Lake mid-August to late-September. Sleeps up to 6, woodstove, rowboat (provide own floatation devices), outhouse. No water source near cabin. Wood is sometimes provided, but not guaranteed. Axe, maul, and splitting wedges provided. Bring your own water, personal flotation devices, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, and fire starter.
