Alaska Dept of DNR Scheduled Class @ Generations SE

The UAF Cooperative Extension Service is beginning to schedule #AlaskaLumberGradingProgram classes! https://uaf.edu/ces/sustainable-resources/lumber/
The purpose of the Alaska Lumber Grading (ALG) program is to provide more Alaskans the ability to use locally produced dimension lumber for homebuilding by providing a lumber grading training and certification program. Sawmill operators must complete the 1-day lumber grading training and pass the associated exam to become certified to grade structural lumber for personal use, or sell it directly to an end-user.
The first class has been scheduled for June 12th at the Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center in Palmer. The second class is scheduled for July 17 at the Generations Southeast POW Campus Community Learning Center in Klawock on Prince of Whales. Future dates are being scheduled for Fairbanks and Sitka.
