Join the Adventure as a Tour Guide with Klawock Island Ventures!

Do you love sharing stories, exploring the outdoors, and meeting new people? Klawock Island Ventures is looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to join our team as Tour Guides for the 2026 cruise season!

Job Duties:

  • Lead and narrate excursions, providing guests with insights into scenery, wildlife, history, culture, and geography
  • Ensure guest safety and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain professionalism on and off tours
  • Assist with guest check-in, ticket collection, and reporting tour departures
  • Promote and distribute literature on Klawock Island Ventures (KIV) venues and merchandise
  • Keep equipment clean and tour-ready
  • Participate in all required training, including cross-training for different tours

  • July: 03,07, 09, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30
  • August: 04, 06, 10, 18, 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, 30
  • September: 01, 11, 15,19, 20, 21

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn and share Tlingit culture and a Tlingit Introduction
  • Willingness to learn about the local marine life, plants, and animals
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage guests
  • Punctuality, professionalism, and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to work in varied weather conditions, weekends, and holidays
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
